Game overview
Knowledge Sprint is a timed quiz competition covering curated topic packs. Questions are written for clarity and fairness, with a mix of straightforward recall and short comprehension items. Players must balance speed against the cost of incorrect answers, making calibrated confidence as important as raw knowledge.
Question order and pack selection may be shuffled per player or per heat to reduce answer sharing, while preserving equivalent difficulty. Correctness is objective against the answer key; chance does not decide marks.
Objective
Maximise points across a fixed set of questions within the sprint timer by answering correctly and managing risk on uncertain items.
Skills involved
Performance in Knowledge Sprint is driven by the skills below. Rankings reflect how well participants apply them under the published rules — not random prize draws.
- Factual recall
- Reading comprehension under time limits
- Category switching
- Confidence calibration
Skill factors in detail
- Breadth and accuracy of topic knowledge
- Quick parsing of question stems and options
- Judgement about when to skip versus attempt
- Consistency across category changes
- Composure when facing unfamiliar items
How scoring works
Each correct answer awards a base point value. Difficulty tags (Standard, Advanced, Expert) increase base value. A Streak Bonus adds incremental points for consecutive correct answers, resetting on an incorrect response or an intentional skip. Incorrect answers incur a modest negative score so that random selection is unattractive. Skips award zero and preserve streak status only when the format’s published rules allow a limited number of free skips; excess skips may break a streak. Unanswered items at timer expiry score zero. Partial credit is not awarded on multiple-choice items. Written short-answer items, where used, are marked against approved answer keys with normalised spelling. Final sprint score is the sum of all item results plus streak bonuses minus penalties.
Winner determination
The highest validated sprint score wins. In multi-sprint events, scores are aggregated as published (sum, best-of, or weighted rounds). Answer keys are fixed before the sprint opens; post-sprint key amendments, if ever required for an erratum, are applied uniformly and disclosed to affected entrants.
Tie breakers
If two or more participants share the same primary score after validation, the following ordered tie-breakers apply:
- Fewer incorrect answers
- Higher count of Expert-tagged correct answers
- Longer best consecutive streak within the sprint
- Faster time to reach the final submitted answer set
- If still tied, a short tie-break packet of equal questions for remaining tied players

Rules
This page summarises how Knowledge Sprint is scored and ranked. The complete, binding conditions are in the Competition Rules. Game-specific lobby notices may add timing or pack details for a particular event; those notices must not conflict with the published rules without clear disclosure.
Fair-play policy
Looking up answers on external devices during a live sprint is prohibited unless a format is explicitly labelled open-book. Multi-accounting and answer distribution rings are sanctioned. Server-side timing and focus signals may be used as integrity indicators.
Platform-wide integrity standards are described on Fair Play & Game Integrity.
Responsible play
Knowledge Sprint is intended as skill-based entertainment and competition. Set personal limits, take breaks, and use the tools described on our Responsible Play page. Do not treat competition entry as a way to recover money or chase outcomes.
Free practice
Practice mode is free — no purchase required. Scores from practice do not count toward prize rankings. Use it to learn controls and pacing before any paid competition.
An interactive practice module for Knowledge Sprint will be available in the live product. Until then, review the scoring and rules sections below so you understand how competitive heats are marked.
